DAVE KRAMER on SMALL STEPS FOR HANNAH
SMALL STEPS FOR HANNAH
On the morning of 19th February 2020 Hannah Clarke and her three children- Aaliyah, Laianah and Trey were murdered when Hannah's ex-husband doused their car in petrol and set it alight. He then committed suicide by repeatedly stabbing himself.
Small Steps for Hannah is a movement started by the family of Hannah Clarke and her children, who were determined that this should not happen to any other family. The foundation aims to educate, advocate, support and fund projects to prevent and end domestic and family violence in Australia.
The Foundation offers two programs to help prevent domestic violence. The first is a unique corporate program: "Hannah's Story". This is an interactive workshop which takes participants on Hannah's journey and explains coercive control and the red flags that are in plain sight for all to see.
The second initiative is the Halt program pioneered by Dave Kramer and is dedicated to empowering young people to champion safe and equitable relationships. It addresses critical issues such as masculinity, gender-based violence prevention and respectful relationships.
