JOHN ASKEW on DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
According to "Our Watch" one woman a week being murdered by her former or current partner, one in four women have experienced sexual harassment at work, twenty seven percent of women have experienced violence, emotional abuse or economic abuse by a cohabitating partner since the age of 15. The impact of domestic violence is felt in the family and around the community. Rotary Clubs across Australia have launched the "Say No to Domestic and Family Violence, and Say Yes to Respectful Relationships". The Rotary Club of Jerrabomberra have played a significant part in this campaign in their local area and have become involved with a number of community organisations to provide support.
